SPECTRUM OF LIGHT

Colour applied in repeated brushstrokes deepens along the grain of crocodile leather. Quantum's six shades reveal distinct depths and lustres as the light and angle change.

Le Processus

Building depth through colour

Quantum's patina is finished using a traditional Italian technique. Colour is applied repeatedly by brush, then its depth and intensity are refined through oils and heat or careful polishing, according to the shade.

  1. 01

    Grain

The direction of the colour begins with the natural grain of the crocodile leather.

  2. 02

    Base

The first colour is laid evenly by brush.

  3. 03

    Layer

Repeated dyeing builds a depth that cannot be achieved with a single tone.

  4. 04

    Nuance

Intensity and shadow are finely balanced along the grain.

  5. 05

    Depth

Depending on the colour, oils and heat are used to refine its depth.

  6. 06

    Polish

Repeated polishing draws a quiet lustre from the surface.

  7. 07

    Finish

The finish allows the colour to reveal itself naturally in changing light and angles.
